blu, I'm holding out for you!

Has anyone on the waitlist NOT had their status changed on the Dartmouth site to the "prematriculated student" status?

well i wold assume that if it didnt change, they wouldnt post here asking q's

CONGRATULATIONS TO CJ! that's amazing!

thank you so much to everyone who's still pulling for me :-D it feels wonderful. for whoever asked (DMC? King? i forget who) I'm currently going to Tufts

you know, last week i was in this retarded car accident, and was really ****ed b/c it wasn't my fault and now the insurance is going to go up and all. so do you know what my sister did? she wrote an email to Dartmouth telling them to take me in b/c she thought that the only thing that could cheer me up was getting into D, and since I'm NEVER upset about anything, it was killing her to see me sad. So she wrote all these wonderful things about me and why I should get in...so that in itself cheered me up. THAT DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T CARE IF I GET IN OR NOT. BECAUSE I REALLY DO LOL.

good luck to everyone else in my situation!

oh yeah, and yes, i also see an "undergraduate prematriculation" page, i have no idea if that's significant or not.

but THANK YOU THANK YOU for still caring about me, everyone! it means a lot!

Has there been any change for anyone?

nope :(

my GC is really ****ed, too, b/c we have to tell the school what college we're going to and send in our final grades, but i can't till i hear from D...i told her if i didn't hear by Monday i'd fill it out for Tufts and come back later if D said yes

Blu,

Have you asked your GC to contact them?

Are you the same CJ I talked to back in November when we were waiting for early decisions?

If you are (and even if you're not), I'm SO happy that you finally got Dartmouth. I remember how upset you were with the deferral (if you're the kid I remember), and the waitlisting must have been even worse. I'm really glad it worked out for you. Have a wonderful time at Dartmouth.

-Elizabeth

P.S. Best of luck to those still waiting.

you know, sybbie, I did. but i don't think she understands the significance of it, she just called to find out like, how many people are on the waitlist and yeah, overall, not a very enthusiastic sales pitch lol

in other news, i may be getting an internship in Columbia's office of admissions or financial aid...so perhaps that will bode well for me if i apply as a transfer :-D

I talked to my regional rep yesterday. She said they have picked 14 kids from waiting list this year and waiting for their answers. There are 6 or 12 ( I dont remember if she said a dozen or half a dozen) of kids still on the waiting list in case any of those 14 drop D. So if you haven't received the e-mail about waiting list being closed for this year, you are one of those 6 or 12 kids. It will take couple more weeks for us to hear. This thing is taking forever!

i didn't get any such email....!

From today's WSJ...

hey all. just checking in to say that i got a waitlist update today that said the class was full. but don't worry! i'll love Tufts, and if not I'll try to transfer. I figure it'll count in my favor that I was originally waitlisted. But thanks for your support throughout!

blu :( :( :(

well, i'm glad you have such a positive attitude about it, you are always so cheery and lovely! i'm sure you will love tufts; we'll have to arrange a cc meet-up sometime when those of us stuck out in the middle of nowhere need to escape to boston! (and vice versa, of course)

Wow Blu,

If anyone deserves to be at the Big Green, it's you. I am so sorry that it is not going to happen this year.

This is not a good year for waitlist as it seems that very few schools took people. Because of the person that you are, you will have an amazing time at Tufts. There will always be a place for you to crash in Hanover.
