Check Your Santa Cruz Portal

I just got a message saying this and it was so disappointing to read on!!

Dear Kelli:

As the admissions notification date approaches, I'd like to recommend that you check your access to the MyUCSC portal at my.ucsc.edu, where you will be able to view your admissions decision starting midnight, March 15. All decisions for first-year students will be available beginning on that date, while transfer students will be notified on a rolling basis from March 15 through April 30.

Please take a few moments now to log in and make sure that your user ID and password work. Then you will be ready to view your decision beginning on March 15.

If you wait until March 15 to log in for the first time, and you experience difficulty, you might not be able to resolve it until later that day. As you can imagine, the Help Desk will be extremely busy that day, so if you are having problems with access to the portal, we strongly recommend that you contact us before March 15.

My.ucsc.edu FAQs for Applicants
Where can I find my user ID and password?
Your user ID and password are on the back of the letter that we sent you by mail that acknowledges your application to UCSC.

What if I don't have my user ID and/or password anymore, or I've forgotten them?
The portal has a password reset feature, so you can choose a new password if you have forgotten it. If you forgot your user ID, please contact the Help Desk at help@ucsc.edu or call (831) 459-4357. Including your full name and UC application ID Number in the e-mail will help expedite the process. Help Desk hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

My user ID and password work, but I'm having other problems with my.ucsc.edu.
Please contact the Help Desk if you have any questions or problems with my.ucsc.edu.

Again, thank you for your interest in UC Santa Cruz.

Sincerely,

Michael McCawley
Associate Director of Admissions

My son received the same e-mail…he thought it was some “good news”…

What is disappointing about this e-mail? lol

yellowsnow

I had hoped it would be news of the decision, not of the pending decision! lol

Actually im glad you posted this, they have not sent me this email and I am missing the letter I received from them with my login information.

One (wo)man’s trash, another (wo)mans treasure ^^^

@bme2684 - I didn’t get the letter in the mail with the login information either, I had to e-mail them to request a duplicate. I hope the letter comes before March 15th!

Don’t get too excited unless the subject starts with “Congratulations!”
