I went on that today...and it says I'm still missing my High School Transcript and Counsellor Rec...how could this be? I sent it in a while ago for Early Action deadline. Could this be a mistake? Someone help.

On my school's website status...it says I submitted my forms / transcript / and rec...so I'm guessing this is a mistake on their part?

hey!
they did that to me too.. but for my teacher rec. i ended up getting another copy sent in, and then suddenly two copies showed up. you should probably send another copy in just to be on the safe side.. i applied early and they told me as long as I got it in by December 3rd or something like that it would still be considered. if you applied regular-- you have plenty of time, dont worry.

I applied for Early Action thats why I'm worried. Its too late to send in another copy of my transcript and counsellor rec because my school is closed. I'm sure they made their EA decisions by now anyway.

i think you should try not to stress too much about it... you can try and explain the situation when they reopen and hope they will take pity on you.. when i visited, they seemed fairly relaxed about the admissions process
good luck

I'm from NY from a private school that has a good admit rate to Northeastern. On my school's graph for students that applied to Northeastern in previous years...the avg for admitted students is 3.34 UW GPA and 1250 (for my school only though). I fall into the area of the graph of admitted students for the most part.

Is NEU your #1 choice? Where else have you applied? You have good stats. What do you plan to major in? Is that GPA unweighted or weighted?

I think you have a really good shot..its more a match/safety if anything for you.

Catalina, I would be shocked if you did not get in. They are really trying to admit more students outside of New England. The fact that you are from Arizona is a big plus and your stats are very good without that.

As far as i know, no students from my school even applied to NU until this year. It sounds like you are set.. the acceptance rate is what makes me the most nervous.

yea, NU is my #1-- although i applied to Cornell, Wash U, Cal Poly, Georgia Tech, Rice, and Notre Dame-- a huge stretch but we'll see. If I get in and get a fair package from NU, i'm pretty confident i'll be going. I'm planning studying architecture.

thanks for the reassurance, seeing everyone post their acceptance letters is killing me.

Catelina...i'm suprised NEU is your #1 choice when you're applying to all those other fine schools. GL with the rest..don't worry about NEU I can confidently say you'll get in.

Have you visited the school? I haven't but I plan to if I get accepted. I hear the campus is beautiful. The rep for NEU came to my school and gave out brochures and whatnot and it seems like a fun school. What kills me is its ratings...for business. I'm applying to BC and BU as well and NEU seems to be the lower of the 3 unfortunately :(.

Not everyone, just a couple of ppl on cc said that they got it and they are probably from Ma. My S did not hear yet. We were not expecting to hear until Jan. 2 (postmark is supposed to be Dec.31) anyway.

Yea, i visited it and loved it. NU seems to be a school on the rise. They were blue collar many years ago, and are improving their program each year. I read somewhere they will eventually compete with Ivys because the coop is really strong.

I guess i just like the non-competitive hands on atmosphere at NU. The other schools I applied to are pretty competitive, and could possibly be a little too serious for me.

the ratings have improved every year-- i'm sure in a year or two, buisness will surpass BU and BC. I think the co-op makes the school much more valuable. You'll get a foot in the door, and have a pretty nice job at graduation--what more can you ask?

Yeah thats one thing that attracted me to the school..the COOP program - I guess its a pretty good idea because it wouldn't be as hard to get a high GPA compared if I went to a top tier school. Getting a high gpa along with the COOp program could put me in good position for a good job post graduate and placement at a good MBA school like columbia.
