<p>Ok so I submitted my application on Nov 30 and I was checking my app status and it says they do not have my recommendations or transcript but I know they were sent out long ago, like October. </p>
<p>Do you think this is b/c they have to use my common app to open a file?</p>

<p>Are you sure they were sent? Most counselors will only send the regular decision stuff in October and then the regular decision stuff in early December. Ask your counselor tomorrow if she's sent them. Really, as long as they're postmarked before January 1 and arrive at Harvard by mid- to late-January, it'll be just fine. They'll still look at your Common App and Supplement and stuff until then, and then when they get all that other stuff, they'll start to make decisions.</p>
<p>I know for a fact they were sent...but now I'm under the impression that they just aren't showing up cause I just submitted my part of the application, and they are trying to put together my file now...I'll check again in a few days.</p>
<p>But my question is, if they received my app on Nov 30/Dec1, will they still contact me for an interview?</p>
<p>yeah, as long as you sent in the common app and the payment by the 1st, you're good for an interview</p>
