checked UCs app status, what to do?!!

I signed in to check the status of my application (www.ucapplication.net/ucap) and almost all my information is missing. They claim I didn’t select campuses (or majors) on my app, that they have not received my test scores (when I sent it through collegeboard in october!). Everything (just about) has an asterisk or a question mark next to it.

The instructions urge me to provide all the necessary information asap. I don’t understand what happened. Why should I spend another 7 dollars on each score report (if it’s even possible for them to get it on time, now) and also to send in my campus choices, etc. when the app receipt i printed out clearly has my choices on it?

These problems are not my fault, I did everything -is it just that their paperwork is a mass of confusion for now, and the online site hasn’t had time to update? I don’t want to do this extra legwork all over again!

Reeling from the shock- any advice?
& anyone experiencing the same thing? -so i know if this is just a glitch, or it’s just me.

hmm.. i think you should mail them the receipt as proof. i received a letter a couple of weeks after i submitted my UC app, so no, that did not happen to me.

I can't even log in yet because I sent my app in on the day of the deadline :p..."please wait 3 to 4 weeks"...

I would try to call to see if they can check the actual file for what is in it. Meanwhile, and particularly if you cannot get an answer promp[tly, I suggest you do exactly what they ask while at the same time sending them all the evidence you have to prove this was already done. You cannot fight this out at the moment and risk being rejected for having an incomplete file. You are dealing with a bureaucracy and when they screw up undoing it takes time because it is like trying break down a brick wall. Yes, you have been wronged but put all those feelings aside and remember what the goal is -- to get into college. When it is finally shown they were wrong and you were correct, you can then ask for a refund for the extra amounts you paid or have them deduct it from some other future cost. They might not give it but you will have lost only a little money not your college life.

okay thanks for all the help, guys! apparently they didn't update their system... because now all the info is there.

drusba, thanks for the advice. if the system didn't correct itself, i would definitely have done what you suggested. :]
