Checking Financial Aid Online

Does anyone know how to check financial aid awards online? I checked the older threads, but their responses are now invalid, since apparently Wash U has a new financial aid website. Or maybe what I'm seeing isn't new, and I just couldn't see it before because it's only for admitted students? I applied RD, but I already know I was admitted because I was notified about scholarships.

Have any other scholarship finalists not received their packets in the mail yet? I'm still waiting :(

I found this particular page on the university’s website that may be of help to you.

<a href=“Financial Aid”>Financial Aid;

Log onto Pathway. There is a link for Financial Aid. It gives you two options. One brings you to your specific FA offer.

I went to the Pathway and to the new Financial Aid site from there. It says it’s under maintenance or something though, so no news yet…

I was accepted ED so it may not be on Pathway yet for RD applicants.
On my Pathway there is a topic “Financial Assistance” with a subtitle under it “Student Financial Services”. That s a link to my specific financial aid offer.

@onecot:
did the information show up on the same day you saw your admission decision? Or did you have to wait a few days?

Thanks to those who replied, but I only have a tab on the left that says FA Access, and then under that there are two links: Checklist, and Admissions

I know I am admitted because I logged in through “newly admitted students”. Maybe I have to wait until they send out the decision to all the RD kids who didn’t apply for scholarships first. That should be this Friday, if they follow tradition.

@Yesstermorrow, are you sure being able to log in through “newly admitted students” means an acceptance? I tried log in through “newly admitted students” and was able to log in. I applied RD and did not apply for scholarship. I have not heard anything from admission so far.

My D was able to log in through “newly admitted students” as well although we haven’t heard anything RD. Hmm, we’ll see…

I was able to login under newly admitted students as well…

However, I think, since it seems that SFS recently updated their website, that this login page is equivalent to the old “check you FA app status” because the application information page looks very similar. Idk… I am not putting too much weight on this (but if it does mean I’m admitted, YAY!)

I can log in too, though I did not apply for financial aid and scholarship. So, all applicants can get access to student financial service or those who are admitted?

I tried again. This time I don’t think that means acceptances because the website includes information for prospective students, newly admitted students and current students.

@Yester
I was accepted ED in early December. I didn’t apply for FA with my ED app. I just recently completed my FASFA and received info on Pathway shortly after that.

I believe there are others that were accepted ED that received some type of FA offer shortly after their acceptance. Maybe one will reply here.

I don’t think you will receive any FA offer until after you receive your acceptance on Pathway.

GL

I was accepted ED. Decisions came out on a Friday, and I was able to access FA info online sometime early the next week (maybe Tuesday?).

I can log in too. What makes you guys believe it means “accepted”? mhm.

@neuroscience
Because I am accepted. I’m a finalist for the two scholarships I applied for, and all finalists are accepted. They have to be, otherwise it wouldn’t make sense to visit the school for the interview/scholarship program after decisions have already come out.
I cannot confirm, however, that everyone else’s ability to log in guarantees that they are accepted. Best of luck to everyone though!

nina1228, how did you come to know that you were accepted? By e-mail? Or you just logged in, and there was that letter stating that you got in?

I am a newly admitted student. who knows how to check FA online???

@Cshier, I don’t think we can check them online; at least, I haven’t been able to find out how.

Okay, just be patient and wait for the admissions package.

@Cshier
It doesn’t come with the admissions package. I just got my package today, but the only thing it said about financial aid was what type of payment options are available. I guess we’ll have to wait a little longer…
