Checking on outside letter of recommendation

<p>I am getting an outside letter of recommendation that , to me, is very important for my application. Will it bother them if I call in a few days to make certain they got it? I may be paranoid but when I applied to high schools 2 of the schools said they hadn't received an outside letter that was sent. </p>

<p>Any thoughts?</p>
