Checking to make sure application is complete

I’m sure this is on here somewhere but I couldn’t find it. I haven’t received any activation links so I can check to see if test scores, transcripts etc arrived. I used gateway, so I can see some things were downloaded but not test scores, for example. Also, one school said they had everything but were waiting for our second semester grades. Are they all waiting for second semester grades or do they just go by first semester, since those were the only grades complete by the deadline. Do I have to pester the guidance dept all over again to resend grades? Please, tell me they would not have sent communications regarding any of this to the student student rather than the parent?

Not all schools use second semester grades.

Thanks, mathman. Any idea how we could find out which?

You should maybe check the school’s website. They probably have a list of what you need to apply.

Yes, I have those checklists as well as gateway’s, but I wonder how you check to see that everything is received because some things come by snail mail such as school reports and some recs. I believe that happens when they send you an email and link with password so that you can check acceptances and FA. But we don’t have that - probably just need to be patient. Thanks, mathman!

If there’s a portal, check that.

Other than that, I don’t know. Just sit tight and the schools will email you themselves if they’re missing anything. If they don’t, that means you’re all set.

We had the same problem last year. My son’s guidance office never sent the transcripts to a couple of schools. Had to badger them until they sent it. Keep following-up.

@sgopal2, same thing happened here. My guidance officer just would not send the transcripts, said she was “working on it,” that she would “send it later today,”, etc., but never did. My parents and I practically had to badger her every single day until she finally did!
