So yesterday, I went and tried to log in to check my application status, and I kept getting an error message saying "invalid user name/password". Since I have used it before with no problem, I called the admissions office. The person that I spoke to said that the site was disabled over the weekend and that the admissions decisions were mailed the day before (Monday).

I don't know if by mailed she meant that they were all put into envelopes and are waiting to get out of the school, or actually sent. Are any of you having trouble logging into that site? I was a little worried because I thought it might be a reflection of my admissions decision, but the lady that I talked to said that this wasn't the case.

The mailbox has become my new best friend :-).

Mine did the same thing, but I also received my decision this morning (accepted as well!). I'm an American, but I'm living overseas so I got my decision through the international admissions office. So I can't promise that yours will be emailed to you like mine was.
Good luck!

omg they were MAILED!!???? All of them or just "waves"? If the admissions person you talked to definitely said "mailed", should we assume that we'll be getting them in the next few days? Can anyone confirm this?

Hey, I opened my status page - nothing! It is the same as it was 2 months ago! What does that mean? Am I rejected? As I know, some unis do like that. If one is not accepted the status page won't change.

k, just called admissions office, and very kind admissions lady told me that ALL of them were mailed monday, and that everyone should get them this week or the beginning of next :)

I had the same problem, so i also called the admissions office. They said it was inactive for a while because decisions were being mailed as we spoke. I got my decision, 4 hours later(ACCEPTED!!) Im so excited. Star_girl, I am also an american citizen living overseas, so i got my decision from the international admissions. where are you living?

star_girl, I am a green card holder(permanent resident), living in Bangladesh.

As far as i knew, the decisions were supposed to be sent at least a week later, does the early notification have any implications? Also, my sister and I felt that my acceptance letter was "customized", at least parts of it. Some parts seemed to directly refer to things i had mentioned in my "why macalester" essay. Did any of you get that feeling? Best of Luck to those of you waiting!!!!

danielcarp17- the email said the package should arrive within a week through DHL so i guess that's express mail.
