I applied to Villanova EA and sent my SAT scores about 2 weeks ago. They just emailed me my login and password for MyNova, and everything is checked off as received except for SAT scores. The college board website confirms that my scores were sent, and all of the other schools that I sent scores to on the same day confirmed that they had been received several days ago. If they don't receive or process them in time, will I not be considered Early Action? Are anyone's scores posted yet? I don't want to overthink it, but I don't want something so small to push me into RD.

The admissions office is very slow to update received materials as they have lot of files to account for.
As long as you as you have a verified receipt of college board sending the score , you will not have a problem. They will not be reviewing applications immediately , if it’s not up by next week , give them call , or call or email tomorrow if you are concerned.

I have the same problem as you do, sugarcookie. I remember when I was visiting the school over the summer, an administrator said that they could take up to six or eight weeks to receive the scores. I hope this is not the case, as I sent my scores on the 28th of September.

I sent an email, but I don’t know if anyone’s actually going to reply. Maybe it isn’t checked off online for anyone?

I applied EA, but they haven’t sent me an email for the mynova account. How long should it take for me to get it? I sent everything in on the 28th and 29th.

I was invited to make a mynova account over the summer, but I got a letter in the mail yesterday about how they received my application and the mynova credentials.

Daughter applied - scores have been up for about two weeks. Just call and ask them about it.

Quick update ; D2 received her letter with info to access MYNOVA. Letter was dated Nov 3 , application was submitted about 2 weeks ago. If you don’t get the letter or have not received an email with steps to log into MYNOVA , i would suggest contacting admissions or email gotovu@villanova.edu

out of curiosity is it strange that i have a mynova account without having applied yet?

Question: I sent in my EA application (my decision to apply was very last-minute). The thing is though, i took my third SAT in Nov 6 and I sent all my other scores (other SATs, subject tests) by the free score reporting service. Now, the Nov SAT scores don’t come out till Nov 23, which is when collegeboard will start sending the scores to colleges. Does this mean that I won’t be considered for EA? Will I automatically be considered for RD?

I sent an email to VU saying almost the exact same thing I’ve written here and all they said was this: “Dear Student, We do not take SAT or ACT scores from November exams as they will not be here in time to be reviewed for Early Action. If you wish to change to Regular Decision, we must be notified in writing. Villanova Admission Office.”
They’ve also sent me this: “Thank you for your email and interest in Villanova University! If you are contacting me in regard to your Early Action application, please note that we are currently in the process of uploading applications and matching the academic credentials. All applications and credentials should be updated in myNOVA by Thursday, December 2, 2010 when you will be able to view your Checklist. As long as your Common Application with the Villanova Supplement was submitted by November 1, your completed application will be reviewed. For additional information, please check your myNOVA student account portal for additional updates.”

Also, I haven’t gotten myNOVA account info yet… Should I be worried?

Thanks to anyone who replies.

SchrodingersBall: Presuming you have submitted your SAT scores from your first 2 sittings ? The November scores will not be used for your EA application , but any earlier scores will be considered. If you are not accepted , you will be deferred and the Nov scores will be considered for RD.
MYNOVA login info should be available to you very shortly , my Daughter received her login in today and applied somewhere around Oct 25.

I sent my earlier SAT scores with the free reporting service that comes when you register for an SAT. Does that mean they will also be sent on Nov. 23 after the scores for the Nov. SAT comes out?
Thank you!

Log in to your collegeboard account , you can direct who gets what , if you have free sends , that should also be on your account

I’ve had a mynova account since the summer. They sent me an email inviting me to join.

i had a my nova account before i applied

FYI - When you START a common app for a college, the college board notifies the college. That may explain the early invites.
