Can't say I am a connoisseur, but Sam Adams, Heineken, Guinness, and Stella are enjoyable.

well we are mostly high school and college age kids here, no one clames to be a connoisseur. WIth me at least my selection of beer is generally limited to the selection sold at a few gas stations around me due to the fact that I'm 18, so I don't exactly have access to all those micro-brews.

tomadog02- thats the point! i realize miller lite is a truly terrible beer to the beer connoisseur , but its the only one i can drink!

tomadog,

Yuengling isn't terrible. It's easily a 7/10, which is far better than most macros. Besides, the Porter is at least drinkable.

And the only reason I don't mention most of the micros I like is that it's really a waste since few people are of age to enjoy them, and fewer still live in the geographical vicinity. If I had to list some micros that I think are okay, I'd say:

Stone Brewing Co. (try the Anniversary beers)
North Coast Brewing Co. (their Russian Imperial Stout is great)
and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (they have one of the few barleywines that I like)

So don't tell me that I don't know some micros. ;)

Besides, most Hefs aren't that good.

For the record, I don't hate Hefs. I just don't think most of them are done well. Good Hefs are probably one of my favorite brews.

But I still prefer a dry stout or maybe a barleywine, myself.

i have always been more of a heineken and corona girl.
although, i prefer hards overall.

What is a "Hef"?

Hef is just a crude shortening of "hefeweizen," which is a variety of wheat beer where the yeast isn't filtered out.

I love miller light...and corona w/ lime is good... luckily i've only ever had to try 2 of the 10 beers we love to hate(keystone and natty light)
