I did too.

Oh, for one of the double short passages about science and mysticism... how would the James guy react to the author of the first paragraph? Was it that he would agree and then share his own life changing revelation?

Oh, for one of the double short passages about science and mysticism... how would the James guy react to the author of the first paragraph? Was it that he would agree and then share his own life changing revelation?

thats what i put

What were some other answers for that Buddha guy reading passage?

One other answer I remember was that science would reject the book by the James guy... or something like that.

For the cheetah paragraph... what was the "science of intervention"... not inervention but it said like 'the murky science of something..."

For the cheetah, the "grim heirarchy" wasn't about competiton; heirarchy implies that there is no competition and everything was predetermined.

It was competition among carnivorous animals because after that phrase there was a semicolon and it talked about how the lions chased the cubs and the vultures ate the meat that the cheetahs captured.

yeah, i put down all the answers that have been said on this thread....did you all have the chinese girls passage??

Yep. It was the one about Marcella Ahn and Caroline something.

yeah, for the last question of the passage, i put down that the author thought that poets were in general dissatisfied with life or something like that...the question was what did the author mean when he wrote, "As happy as a poet can be"..

That's what I put too =)

Yeah, I think it was discontent maybe?

Even the the AP Lang. and the CR section of the SAT were both made by CB, I still had to change how my mind works for this test. The correct answers for AP Lang. always had to be supported by the passage or found exactly in the passage, no matter how much bettter another answer could be. While the CR section of the SAT asked more questions that implied or suggested a point across, I personally liked the CR section of the SAT.

I liked the CR passages this time so I tried reading them with interest... Normally, the passages about Art and society or something kill me.

I googled up the Marcella Ahn and Caroline story, and I read the full passage, and it was actually good.

thesiren72102, AHHHHHHHHHHHH I CAN'T BELIEVE THE ENDING TO THAT SHORT STORY!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO, I need to know who ACTUALLY did...it.

I know, I enjoyed reading the short-story about Marcella Ahn and Caroline. That CR was easy.

For the Vemeer one, about the child...he was seeking companionship from the adults right? And I believe I put that he was " curious" about the statue NOT "growing unease"?

Could someone confirm this?

Erase statue, I meant picture.

i thought curious too but they weren't referring to the game he started playing..they meant at first i think.

he was not seeking companionship..it was SECURITY

the other was either growing unease (what i put) or some say abject terror(think thats a bit too extreme)

It was definately security. I was torn between growing unease and abject terror and put down abject terror. Terror was a little extreme but unease is a little weak. It did say the kid was scared though.
