Can anyone please tell me what Chem11 is like? I'm a non-science major and my enrollment time is tomorrow. I'm trying to decide whether to go chem11 or chem6a. Is chem11 too easy? Should i just go into 6A

also if i took 6A, would i have to continue with the entire 6 series? or could i just stop with 6A

Chem11 should be easy, but I hear Stacey Brydges is a BLAH professor.

And yes, you can stop at Chem6A.

cool, thanks, i think i’ll just go with 6A

Is it bad for a non-science major to take CHEM6a instead of just CHEM11? I’m thinking about taking 6A because it will look better in the future and I assume that it’s not a lot harder than CHEM11.

^ I would NOT recommend this.

1) Who are you going to want this to “look good for”? Im assuming youre a nonscience major (or non chem based) so how would you taking this class do anything for you in the future, unless you might switched to a major which requires chem

2) I had a friend who did this, she was an international studies/business major who did like chem, she ended up getting a C in 6A, and had to take chem 6B for a grade as GE for revelle, since she couldnt go back and just take Chem 11 because she had already taken 6A she had to suffer through 6B and she regretted her decision for months

If you dont have to take it, just take chem 11, theres other places you are going to want to focus your time

how is prof. Czworkowski for chem 6a? i heard its really boring but the classes aren’t that bad
