How hard is chem 130 125/126. I have Biteen as my 130 professor and Kerner for the labs. What is everyone's experience with this class?

The last I had taken Chem before these classes was honors chem in 10th grade. I tested out of them and I could have taken Orgo but F that. All I needed as a ME was gen chem.

Anyway, Chem 130 is not very hard at all. The only HWs are very annoying but nothing is difficult. You’ll have a bunch of “pre med” and undecided students complain about it and you’ll be amazed the average is down around a C.

The labs are super dependent on getting a good group. Having a helpful GSI (who is your lab instructor) is important too. The content in these isn’t that hard, yhou jsut gotta know what you are doing. So as long as one person in your group goes to the 125 lecture you should be ok.

For this lab at the beginning they asked as to write down where we live (North or South) and what our prior experience with Chem is. I lied and said none so I got matched with a Chem E and a Chemistry major that took AP Chem lol. (The 4th member was a girl that failed the midterm and dropped out of Umich).

The Chem 125/126 exams are different, but not that bad.

Really if you have some chemistry experience it shouldn’t be too hard.
