It's definitely not an isolated case...

Sheesh, you see people cheating and you don't say anything to the proctors. UCLA doesn't need people who don't stand up for the right principles. Besides, you're only cheating yourself out of a better grade.

i agree. send an e-mail to the professor or ta anonymously

to be honest, the reason why i didnt want to say anything was that they would have gotten expelled.

i dont want to be responsible for that even if they did cheat

thats why you do it anonymously =)

if people cheat, they dont deserve to be here at ucla. there are a lot of other students who didnt get in, but would do anything to study here.

Be a leader, unlike many others who don't do anything about the situation. Stand up for what's right. By not doing so, you only help propagate the negative features, such as this, existing in UCLA. Stop making excuses and help put an end to this problem at UCLA. Or would you rather see UCLA degenerate into a college that's full of cheaters?

So how many more times are you not going to stand up for what's right? When you see someone getting mugged you won't report it to law enforcement or help the person that got mugged? Are you the typical apathetic student that's prevalent in UCLA, turning a blind eye because you take the stance of "it doesn't involve me & it doesn't have to". If that's you, then I hope the cheaters did extremely well so that you get a lower grade.

if you see someone cheating, for the love of god do something. The last thing i want is for me to get a B in this class because some a**holes were cheating. btw this WILL affect you (grades) so you are hurting yourself by not reporting. If i saw this i would have reported it immediately (to the TA after i submitted). Yea you may look like a snitch, but hey its your future.

dude..u guys are so selfish.....focus on your own grades..that is all you should worry about....being expelled is too harsh punishment...

i would beat the **** out of you if i found out who you are

How is it being selfish when it would be weeding out people who don't belong at UCLA and making the academic atmosphere better? Guess you're one of those people that doesn't read the University of California Student Code of Conduct right? If cheaters are reported and expelled, they brought it upon themselves. Let someone else who's willing to honestly work for their grades have a chance to attend UCLA.

ah, Alex, glad to see you're back.

How could they have worked together if there were different versions?

Every south campus mid-term/final I have taking usually has three or two versions

perhaps similar question/variation or just different page?

Kill them.

nope there was only one version of the test

are you insane? we ARE focusing on our own grades when we report cheating. this class is based on a CURVE!!! That means that if other people score higher than you do by cheating, they will end up boosting their own grades, and lowering your grades by raising the bar on the curve. on a side note, i agree that expulsion is too harsh of a punishment.

if you do the crime....
