Chem 1A In The Spring

Why is it that people say it's easier in the spring and harder in the fall?

How much chem knowledge is required for chemistry 1a and are you entirely screwed if you've never taken chem before?

I think there's more competition in the fall since most pre-meds take chem in the fall. Better curve in spring I guess..

I only took the 1st chem midterm and dropped the class but I don't think it matters if you have taken chem before. They teach you everything you need to know from the basics.

curve is def NOT better in spring...check out pick-a-prof and campus buddy for nitsche vs stacy...not pretty at all.sigh

lonely teardrop falls

but is pick-a-prof definitely real? i mean, i'm taking chem 1a with stacy right now, and i have to say, most of the people i have talked to are in the B/C range. definitely not the 44% for A as pick-a-prof says....more like 5 to 10%.

plus, professors may not be consistent with the curve.

i know camous buddy for a fact is accurate because it says on the website straight from the university records. dunno about pick-a-prof though
