I need to sign up for chem 1a and two of the lectures are still open but when I tried to add it all the labs were full. Do I waitlist a lab that I would want? What do I do?

Oh and if I want to take a class like Japanese 7a so I can get rid of Reading and Composition Course from List B or take Japanese 1a so I can learn the language do I just waitlist it so and hope I get in if I dont fit the restrictions?

@akman159: did you put in the right Course Control Number? The sections all have different CCNs I think. Also, depending on the course, it may have restrictions on sign ups.

Should I try the “add to waitlist” method and drop from the waitlist for Stacy? I’m 50 on the lecture and 1 on the lab. Or should I just stick to Stacy’s waitlist? What are the chances of actually getting in through the waitlist?

They will usually open up an additional lab section. There’s an extra section at the bottom of the page listed as currently not open - this one should turn into an actual lab section later if enough people sign up for the lecture.

Luckily, all the weeder classes will have many people who drop out. Audit the class with the fewest number of students, and you should have no problem. In my experience, as long as the waitlist is 15% or less than the enrollment limit, you are OK.

sooo like if i was 16 on the waitlist for the lecture and then 2 on the waitlist for the labs am I good? can I audit both the lecture and the lab?
