this morning, i receive an email from Lily Arriaga to inform all students from chem 2a about taking both the chem placement and math placement exam. BUT the question is, i was exempt from taking the math placement exam and passed the chem placement exam. Will i still need to retake these exams in the following week?

Lily works in the chemistry department main office. It was a mass email to remind all students that you need to have taken (or be exempt from taking) the placement exams prior to enrolling in Chem 2a (and passed). Since you have already passed the chem placement test, and were exempt from taking the math one, I think you're perfectly fine.

Many students enroll in chem 2a that are totally unprepared (as in no placement test or failed test) - the chemistry department would like to encourage those students to drop and take pre-chem at the learning skills center or to take the placement test. You will NOT be given the placement tests again at the beginning of 2a.

ohh that's what it is..i thought i had to take a test again. thanks for the info

i am taking chemistry 2A and never got such email.
i've taken calculus series and chemistry at a community college while i was in high school.
Davis has my transcript and all the courses are transferable.
Am i exempt from the test or do i have to take it?
thanks

hey, deepster, where can you tell if Davis got your transcript or not. I took a Stats in CC back in junior year summer, but i don't know if Davis has gotten my transcript yet.

oh, you didn't get this email? how weird

yea....
when you go on your myadmission page.
there's like a part that says college transcript....click there and see what transcripts they have received.
So far, they have received transcripts from both colleges.

ohh, i was referrin to the sisweb academic transcript. I thought sisweb would tell me if Davis received my transcript or not and how many credits i received.
