<p>did anyone take 30CL before and would share their experiences? I heard it is a nightmare and I am really freaked out..help!!!</p>

<p>I have taken 30CL (alongside LS4 and chem 171) and I would suggest not taking it with two additional science classes. If you have a GE that you have yet to take, I'd definitely swap it for LS3 or wait to take 30CL when you have an easier quarter. </p>
<p>So, a little about 30CL: It's not necessarily a nightmare but it is definitely a lot of work. First off, the class is scheduled for 3 hours twice a week BUT, you should know that it's more like FOUR hours twice a week. When I took the class, our TAs scheduled OHs right after our lab section so that we'd have an extra hour to work on our experiment for the day. Trust me, most of the time you need it and sometimes, you still don't finish with the extra hour. Meaning - if you're in an 8AM, don't schedule a class right afterward. Secondly, you will have pre-labs every lab but, no post-lab until the end of each project (there was about 4 projects total - if i remember correctly.) And I believe there's quizzes almost every week. The quizzes are on the tougher side b/c Bacher writes them (unlike 30BL when your TA wrote the quizzes.) Overall, I did enjoy the class and learned a lot but, it really was a lot of work and I was pretty much doing work for this class every night.</p>
