<p>if it’s Pedersen you really shouldn’t buy the textbook/study guide. I didn’t touch mine all of 3A/3B.</p>

<p>The old test/answers books and all of the 3al books are necessary.</p>

<p>oh right, I don’t think she’s ever taught this before… I would wait till after the first day of lecture to see what she says, but buy it all if you want to.</p>

<p>Bertozzi taught Chem3a several years ago. As for the lab notebook, can I just get any old organic chem lab notebook or do I have to get the Pedersen one?</p>

<p>would it be cheaper to buy the materials from the package separately online or just get the package from neds or the cal student store?</p>

<p>^^ you really should get the one they have in the store b/c they have you do tlc and stuff. but if you can get the same exact notebook online for cheaper then go for it. also some ppl only use like a fraction of the notebook and ill still sell it for half price or less. ask around</p>

<p>i asked a friend who is in chem 3a right now, and apparently the textbook is used for chem 3b as well?</p>

<p>but the thing is that the book comes in a package. so i’m not sure if the exact (sixth edition) molecular kit and everything will come out to be cheaper if i buy it individually, even if it is online…</p>
