Chem 3A, Bio 1A, or Phys 8A for Summer Session?

Which would you recommend taking at Berkeley over the summer? I imagine each of them would be intense, but I'd just like to hear some input. I'm also considering taking a humanities class during this session too, but only if I can do it sanely (the science class would be my priority). Thank you very much in advance! :]

*EDIT: Never mind about Bio 1A, I forgot that Chem 3A is a prereq for it, so my options would be either Chem3A or Phys 8A.

If you really want to take a humanities class, Phys 8A + humanities would be your best option. Otherwise, I think it would be good to take Chem 3A/L over summer.

Thanks, whosthat1234! I’ll definitely consider this when summer decision time comes near. :]

If you want a lighter course, physics 8a. You can do that with somethin else for sure. I’m taking 3a by itself.

That sounds good, I’ll take either Physics + something else or just Chemistry :]

I’ve said this like 5 times before on this forum lol but I did 3a/3al over summer and really liked it. Pedersen’s a great lecturer and it’s nice to be focused on only one thing and learn it quickly. You’ll also be able to take bio1a in the fall and then start taking upper divs sooner.

Oh and I actually took my R1b in the evening that summer as well. wasn’t too bad.

If you are good at physics in highschool and think that you are engineering material, 8a material is not going to be difficult.

Oh, I see. I totally forgot about the fact that I would have to take Bio 1A later if I didn’t take Chem 3A over the summer. And yeah, I took some physics in high school. I’ll see what I can manage this summer. Thanks everyone, very very much!! :]
