I am looking to take chem 3a over the summer at a location near my home. I heard that the only way you can get credit for med school is if you take all your science classes at a UC. UCSC is easier to commute to from my house than Berkeley. Has anyone taken it there over the summer? Is it different since they are on quarter system? Is there anywhere else we can take science courses for credit?

if you intend on taking the whole ochem series there, then there is not problem, but I am assuming you are not intending on doing that.

Talk to your major adviser and the career center premed advisers and see what they propose.

totally wrong. Med school will take classes from a community college over the summer. However, they don’t look highly upon it. As it’s “easier.”

^is this really true though? I am still debating whether to take it at a cc or not. so do they look down on junior transfer apps to med school? because i think all of them take it at a cc…i want to take ochem at a cc because of time issues, not really for being “easier”…idk what to do either :(
