CHEM 3A PLEASE HELP

Hi, i failed my first midterm. I had another midterm on that day and spent most of my time studying that one and totally forgot to review the back part so was unable to solve a lot of problems.
Im taking pederson.

my grade is 47.0 / 150.0 horrible. horrible.

Statistics:
Minimum: 4.0
Maximum: 149.0
Mean: 97.52
Median: 101.0
Standard Deviation: 27.34

is their any hope for me? should I do p/np? today is the deadline

So, you’re like, about 2 standard deviations below the mean?

I think so? Please help I have to decide by tonight…

Were past midterms available for study?

Sometimes you’re told if your current position is ‘passing’ or not. Is it? Even P/NP seems a bit dicey.

I got that grade for my first midterm, and there will be second midterm and final exam soon. Yes I was focusing so much on my bio exam so I could not really go over the practice exams… I dont think Im passing now but is there any possibility that I could even get b in this class? Or should I just do pass/nonpass and see how it goes, hoping to get P and negotiating with my advisor to retake for next semester?

It seems like you feel correcting your studying and preparation errors has a chance of getting you a ‘P’, but I don’t see how you can get to a ‘B’. What’s the rational argument for the path to a ‘B’?

seriously I couldnt study for this test almost at all… and couldnt even look through the last portion of the exam materials. If I get b or higher like b+ or a- on both exams, or if I get As on both exams, is there any way that I can get even b?

The course will be graded on the basis of 525 points, distributed as follows:•
Each midterm is worth 150 points.• Final exam is worth 225 points.

Course Grade
Final letter grades in this course will be based on the total points in the course. Distribution of letter grades will be approximately: A (15-20%); B (35%); C (40%); D, F (5-10%)What this means is that 15 to 20%of the students will receive some type of A, 35% of the students will receive some type of B, and so on.
