Chem 3A Summer

Im an incoming freshman, and I decided to take Chem 3A this summer. Have any of you taken Chem 3A during the summer session? I just want someone to tell me about their experience with this course...

pedersens a god for a prof, go to OH, learn nomenclature, MolOrbDiagrams, and resonance.

Don’t be stupid, work fast, work hard, and don’t be stupid.

would i be crazy to take math 53 with ochem?
the thing is, i need to take at least 6 units for financial aid. Chem 3A + 3 AL = 5 units. so i need at least one more unit. i can take a unless 1 unit course or i can take math 53…

5 (Chem) + 4 (Math 53) = 9 units… And for summer, 9 units of work is equivalent to 18 units of work in non-summer semesters (i.e. fall/spring which are longer). I would not recommend you doing that.

Pedersen teaches in the summer?

yeah… pedersen is teaching it this summer. XD

x2 on studying nomenclature then, it seems trivial but there’s big points there

what kind of nomenclature are you talking about? are you taking about like if a chemical is a ketone? aldehyde? amines?

yeah, im sorta studying ochem before the summer… i get the SN2, SN1, E2 and E1 reactions already XD

it’s the summer between senior year and first year at college. Find a girl, get drunk, smoke some pot, make some mistakes, be a kid…(drunk and pot only if you’re cool w/ it :D)

life isn’t about studying SnX and getting ahead…what a waste

(this is what burnout is made from)

lmao. ive been im out high school for a long time. lol. been out of the military since late last year, and all ive been doing since then was drink! drink and drink. lol.
