Hey guys, so I'm in the middle of buying books right now and saw that the stuff for Chem 3a only comes in an expensive package, so I've been considering buying the material from other people. I noticed that it had an "access card" though so I'm wondering what that is and if it's necessary to get it. I have professor Baranger this semester so if anyone who has had her before could offer me some insight it would be great!

I took baranger last spring and I believe that for the time for chem 3a, we were required to complete online homework (that’s what the access code is for).

Also, I wouldnt bother purchasing pederson’s exam booklets because I personally believe that Baranger provides enough resources for you to be prepared for HER EXAMS. I thought she was a wonderful professor who was straightforward. She really wants her students to do well. She often holds review sessions on LECTURE DAYS hahahaha. Just do the readings before lecture, do webassign with friends, go to SLC, do the book problems she assigns, and complete the practice exams SHE hands out. Oh and shr provide a study giude on what you need to know weeks before her exams. So, you have all the resources! it’s up to yo to use them! Good luck!

Thanks for the information!

Man professors really make you buy things that you don’t need. I heard for Pedersen people didn’t even need to consult the book that much. I’m actually going to try getting the access card separately. So they use Webassign…I suppose I’ll contact them about that once the semester starts.

It seems like you need login information…I’m guessing that’s provided by the professor?
