<p>This semester I'm taking bio 1AL tuesday nights.. i feel like I don't have enough time in between the lab lecture and lab itself.
Does anyone know how bio 1b labs work? Should I put them Tuesdays or thursdays?
What about chem 3b lab? The lab lecture for chem 3b is wednesday, so does that mean there will be a quick turnaround, meaning the thursday labs are the first labs?</p>

<p>there’s no bio1bl lecture. bio1b labs are just worksheets that you do in class. all you have to do is read them over before you enter lab. and i actually never even did that and still did pretty good LOL.</p>
<p>bio1b lab is so much easier than bio1al, it’s not even comparable. it’s not even lab, just worksheets lol, and you won’t get tested on the lab material.</p>

<p>How are the bio1b labs graded? I really suck at labs. my average for chem 1a lab was like a B-. I just suck at labs. I got a b+ in chem 3al… im such a sucker.</p>

<p>the labs are really easy. you work in groups of four and fill out very straightforward worksheets.</p>
<p>bio 1b lab is curved to 85 average for all sections to make it fair. this can’t really count against you but labs in general are much easier than 1AL.</p>

I got a B+ in ochem lab… where 90 % get’s some sort of A’s…
Pretty low grade in Chem 1A lab average like low B’s in lab
not doing so good in 1al. all my quizzes below avg of section.</p>
<p>eh don’t worry about 1b labs. my gsi basically told us it’s near worthless as opposed to the weight of the midterms and final. at most, lab may only bring you down a few percent unless you just flunk every quiz and worksheet on purpose. and the labs are so chill I basically just sat in a chair and spun around while my lab mates did the work. hahaha (unless we split up the work) now if you f up on a mt though, that’s where the class will bite you in the ass. </p>
<p>I really disliked the group thing at times though. A few of my lab mates were so stupid I just wanted to run my head into the wall at times.</p>
<p>i was in a group with all smart/hard-working people. some weeks if i felt lazy, i’d just let them do all the work while i sat in my chair and spun around like batman. LOL</p>

<p>they aren’t really fun. most of them are quite pointless actually. (i thought bio1a labs were fun. the dissections that is.) it really depends on your GSI. mine gave us a billion group projects to work on OUTSIDE of class.</p>
<p>the worst part about bio 1b labs was groupmates who did nothing and/or knew nothing.</p>
<p>lab is worth about 2.5 midterms, so it’s nothing to blow off, but i agree about screwing up midterms really screws up your grade.</p>
<p>damn that sucks stly, my GSI was so chill. we never had to do any of those extra group project assignments, and she basically gave everybody 10’s lol on everything.</p>
