What is the likelihood of getting into Prof. Johnson's Chem 6A class as 5th on the waitlist?

Is it wiser to get Prof. Brydges instead and be 1 or 2 on the waitlist?

I'm looking for an easy A to get down to it.

stay with tina, but attend brydges' lectures just in case you have to switch -- it's not as hard as it sounds, at least you'll be REALLY well-versed in the beginning of 6a material. :)

(by the time upper-division lectures roll around, sometimes you'll wish you had the freedom of multiple professors to pick from ...)

you know i actually kinda like brydges. i think she's pretty good at teaching and i'm not expecting her tests to be super duper hard either. i have brydges right now and she's great (imo).

hopefully that holds true after you take your test, then youre like set

Bluesky, your'e completely right.

I HATE BRYDGES
i studied my ass off for that midterm and i got 14.2/20!!!
There's no curve for now.

haha yeah...profs are like that (pomeroy for 6a, wonderful lecturer, HoRRible tests)

and your chem midterm was worth only 20 points?? thats a weird grading system unless it uses like 1/10th of points or something

we just gave my students an exam that was 44 points -- it adds up pretty well, with midterm 1 (44) + midterm 2 (44) + 6 quizzes (12 pts total) = 100 possible points.

of course, it was kind of sad watching them miss multiple-choice questions on the midterm and basically watching all hopes for As and Bs slip away .... haha. (don't worry, it's curved to a B+ at the end. no sympathy for these kids.)

angie I know how you feel. I also studied like crazy and got a 12/20. She even posted the scores so late that I wasn't able to drop the class. :(
I felt like crying, lol.

lol i smell a conspiracy?? haha nah..but im sorry, that happened to me too last year

The averages for Czworkowsky's tests were 63 and 58 lol.

mmhm..johnsons (6c) was a 60...and i think the whole test was worth like 120 or 150?? i dunno i just remember it was really low, since we started late, had only 40 mins or so, and there were 26 questions
