I took chemistry my freshman year and I don't remember any of it, so I want to know what is on the ALEKS so that I can study a bit. I've read it's not that hard, but I would like to know more specifics.

Bump…

You actually don’t need to study. It gives you an initial assessment to see what you know. Then it puts you in learning mode to learn what you don’t know. And as you finish categories it ups your score. I’ve been working on it for a couple weeks and it’s very time consuming. But they took it down a couple days ago so I’m gonna be mad if it doesn’t let me pick up where I left off.

You’ll have plenty of time to get it done, I believe they give you a few weeks into the semester to get the 70%. And I’m sure they’ll put it back up to where you left off, koalaballa, I’m pretty sure it stays in the system how much you’ve completed

can I go ahead and take it now? I got the impression that it we couldn’t take it until later this month, but maybe I’m wrong. I’d really like to get it over with.

Is the chem aleks mandatory if you’re taking chem301?

Yes, it’s mandatory for everyone going into Chemistry 301. But how do we get into it? The College of Natural Sciences has some login thing that’s blocked me out.

Thank goodness I wasn’t the only one. I spent 40 minutes going round and round with the ALEKS help team, and we had to uninstall/reinstall java, restart the computer, log back in, install google chrome, and it FINALLY let me in!!! Hope this helps. If not, let me know.
