Chem and Bio

Any tips for bio 1b and chem 3b in the fall? Thanks

You guys should be happy to know 2/3 Bio 1B professors this fall can be considered ‘easy’ (Carlson and Huelsenbeck). Mishler isn’t teach Bio 1B’s evolution section this year.

3B: Only take this class with Vollhardt if you are a B+/A-/A/A+ student in 3A with Frechet. With that said, you will likely end up with B/B+/A-/A after the final. Why do I make this bizarre correlation? Well let’s just say that not everyone gets NMR, and of those who do, only a few can really masterfully apply its concept and do well on the exams.

1B: IMO degree of difficulty: ecology>plants>evolution

Dang I wish I had signed up for Bio, but from what people say about Powers it kinda scared me.

lol babydragon i’m guessing you didn’t have Huelsenbeck? Because his section was so simple and relaxing (not to mention his midterm…I walked out with a huge smile) I felt bad for the guy as the class was near empty every lecture

not to mention his mnemonic: Can I see down your pants pocket? No Tom can. Tom’s queer (or something like that). hahaha

mnemonic for what exactly?

time periods

I have watched a few HHMI DVDs and I find them very entertaining and informative!

Just want to put that out there!

i remember my mnemonic had something to do with mu-shu pork and jumbo shrimp. hahaha. I guess i was hungry at the time.

batman17:
Wow I can’t believe they made you memorize the time periods.
