So I have taken both AP Calc BC and AP Chem exams and have gotten a 5 on both.

According to the UF site this gives me credit for MAC 2311 and MAC 2312, CHM 2045/2045L and CHM 2046/2046L.

Now if my major requires MAC 2313 and possibly CHM 2047/2047L would you suggest going straight to those courses or should I take MAC 2312 and CHM 2046/2046L at UF?

Also UF has a course called MAC 2512 (Calc 2 for AP students), how does that compare with MAC 2312 (Calc 2)? Which one is considered more difficult?

I just went to Preview, and I know for a fact that MAC 2512 no longer exists. You can only take 2312 now for the nonterminal Calc II credit.

I think you should retake MAC 2312 and CHM 2046 for a smoother transition.

Engineerjw- I read in a older post of yours a question you had regarding APChem and Chem2045. Did you find out if UF will accept the APChem score of 4, and if it means you do not have to take any other chem for your particular major?

Gman… I’ve bought the book UF uses for MAC 2313 (Calc III) a few weeks ago… I’ve covered a chapter so far and it hasn’t been at all bad. My prospective major requires MAC 2313 and I plan on taking it my first semester. I’d play it safe with Chem though… I’ve heard 2047 is crazy brutal.
