<p>Hi guys,</p>

<p>I applied the U earlier this month using the golden gopher fast app and I was just wondering how competitive it is to get in for chemical engineering? My stats for ACT, etc. is match with the college of engineering which is around a 31, but I know that chemical engineering is ranked #3 throughout the nation. Is it extremely hard to get accepted for chem E? Would they still accept you in divisions of general studies if you don't make it in?</p>

<p>If you get accepted by the CSE you will be accepted into Chem E. You start is lower division Chem E and after your sophomore fall semester you apply for upper division.</p>

<p>so does that mean you’re just applying to the college, not really it’s major for lower division undergrad? and do most people who do lower division chem E get into the upper division?</p>
