chem help anyone?!

ok... I am taking the most EVILEST (is that a word?... w/e) chem class on the face of the planet. I don't know if it's my teacher or maybe the textbook (Zumdahl/Zumdahl Chemistry sixth edition) but I really hate this class. And it's killing my average and in turn my parents are going to kill me! Its only an Honors level class but the teacher says he always teaches it like an AP so technically at the end of the class I can take the AP exam if I want to. But that wont happen if I can not get these concepts in my head. What's really killing me is Stoichiometry, some random concepts about spectrums, and quantum numbers. Can anyone reccomend any amazing life saving books out there or even websites. I am so desperate and I need to pull an A on my exam (which is in 14 days).

buy all the "cliff" type books like barron, princeton, kaplan. in fact, buy your grade from the teacher while your at it.

on a serious note, chem does suck. i had a tough time in the begining cuz it was all memorizing and my teacher also couldnt explain ****. halfway in the year, youll learn more stuff that finally connects everything. if you have the time, id advise you to go back and memorize all the important tables (ie solubility...) and read ahead if possible.

I have to agree with you that Zumduhl is not a good book. I mean some of the sections are GREAT! But with Stoichiometry he doesn't do a great job and it could be much better. I would recommend that you get the Baron's Guide to AP Chemistry. It is very very helpful and if you do decide to take the AP Exam then it will help you significantly.

i beg to disagree... i wouldn't waste money on the ap books, they're not really all that helpful... the zumhdahl book does a good job giving more difficult problems... allowing the ap test to seem easier
