I will probably take the sat2 chem after I finish off this semester and want the book to prep me. For now, what is the best chem book that might also help with my honors chem class tests?

Princeton Review, no doubt.

try Kaplan

The difficulty of “honors” chem really depends on the teacher. The best way to score A’s on your tests is to get a Prentice hall brief review book for the regents. Most of the time your teacher is only going to teach what is necessary for the regents, ESPECIALLY towards the end of the year. If you can go a few pages ahead and learn the easy stuff in the regents book (trust me its not alll a cinch, equilibrium is challenging if your teacher sucks) you’ll be able to concentrate on the more in-depth topics.

Honestly though, coming from a person who scored around a 97 all year in Honors, there is not a whole lot more to be learned in terms of Chem before you hit AP topic depth. The SAT II will take work and a review book, and is muchh more indepth than the regents book.
