no. there are no colleges that require you to take regents i think. i'm pretty sure that you might need 3 science regents to graduate with a regents diploma. you might only need two though.

chemistry isnt boring. you might be surprised.

why didn't you take chem sophmore year? when you are evaluated you are going to be evaluated in the NYS pool of students who have most likely taken the bio, chem, physics sequence along with the regents. At the more selective schools it would not be unusal to find that applicants have taken this sequence along with an AP science.

Well, i was given a 2-year bio course from 9th to 10th grade...
and i wanted to take an AP science desperately when i got in to 11th grade, therefore i chose to take AP Physics...

Is bio given to everyone as a 2 year sequence? Do most of the students from your school also manage to get in chemistry? What does your school profile state?

No, most brighter students are able to take 1 year bio then Chem in sophomore year, but due to my "English Ability"(which i still would do fine...)
I was given a 2-year-bio course

Have you spoken with your GC regarding how they are going to handle your usign 2 years for bio. Make use that they also menion that despite being off to a slow start you have done really well. Also ask him/her if there were any other students in your situation and how they made out in the college process. I think that you should take the chem course, because you are interested in NYU and you will be in a pool with a lot of other NYers who will have taken the bio chem physics sequence and will have the 3 science regents.

AP psych IMHO isn't really going to help you much because it nowhere near covers the depth and breadth that a college course in psychology would cover.
