Chem test question + Barron's book/tests

Hi,

I'm going to take the SAT II chem test on Oct 6. I've tried it in June (just finishing my sophomore year in Honors chem and got the highest score on the final and top 5 for overall grade...) but cancelled the score as i didn't prepare for that one and thus didn't finish on time because of the new question types that i don't know of.

Didn't really prepare that much in the summer either :/ so i'm kinda being hardcore now .

My question is this:

I aim to get an 780+ on the real test, perferably 800. But on the barron prep books i always get about 700-750, only once got to about 780. I know that barron's books are hard, so i'm asking if these are my practice test scores what are the chances of me actually scoring high on the real thing. Mostly i miss the lab setup questions and stupid math questions, and i'm actually good at math. :(

Thanks ;)

You have a good chance at scoring highly, but the points boost is usually confined to tests like Math IIC, which have a remarkably generous curve. For instance, if you were expecting to get a pts boost from taking SAT USH, it's probably going to be negligible if at all present. I think you can realistically look at a 780, but if your range really is 700~750, you might just be getting the upper range of that.

thanks i see :) my scores has been getting a little bit higher for the past 2 tests
