What is PKG-CHEMISTRY LOOSELEAF 10TH CUSTOM? I get that it is a package, but of what?

Is getting the CHEMISTRY-STUDY GUIDE & SOLUTIONS MANUAL highly recommended.

Is CONNECT COMPOSITION PLUS ACCESS CARD for Writing 39B mandatory?

I would be asking the professors, but uci has my classes still listed as "Staff" :(

Looseleaf is not a bind book, you will have to buy a big binder to put in your looseleaf. I highly recomend getting the solution manual. There are times the problems will get you irritated and it will be helpful. As for the access card, it depends on your professor…but most likely you wouldnt need it… just dont buy it at all, unless your professor says so.

Still not sure what you were trying to explain about the looseleaf thingy :S

Thanks for the details on the other 2 though ill ask my writing prof as soon as I get assigned one.

The loose leaf is the chem book but it’s just loose leaf papers. You’ll need a binder to hold it together. If you go on zot portal, it’ll ask you to pick between the textbook or the loose leaf. So you won’t be buying both. For the CONNECT COMPOSITION PLUS ACCESS CARD just wait to see if you need it if you’re skeptical. Here’s the syllabus for writing 39b. <a href=“EEE+ Home | UCI”>EEE+ Home | UCI. It’ll tell you a site where the access card is $25 instead of $45

Thank you so much for the details! I bookmarked the site that has it for 25 bucks just in case I need to buy it.

Now I need to decide if I wanna lug a binder or a textbook around :P

From what I’ve heard, most classes don’t require you to bring the textbook with you to class.

Are u 100% sure that I do not have to buy both paperback and looseleaf? Cuz when I checked out, it didnt ask me to choose between two of them. Thank you in advance for your reply! =]

Yeah I’m sure. Look at the OP. It says CHOOSE B/W PAPERBACK & LOOSELEAF + STUDY GDE/SOL M. B/W means between. But it only says it on Zot Portal not the bookstore.

Thank you so much! I just checked Zot portal again. I see it now! :))
