CHEM1A difference in when taking it

Is there a difference in WHEN taking Chem1A?

I registered for the Summer with Chunmei Li as the professor, but I'm thinking of maybe dropping it.

Is it generally easier in the Summer? Fall? Spring? Dr. Li has better ratings than the other profs, but do they still do the same exams, etc. Has anyone ever taken CHEM1A with Prof Li?

And basically, for a student with not a very strong scientific background, should I take this course this Summer? ( I need it for premed) however, I don't want to fail, and end up getting rescinded for my admissions. (2.0 average)

Thanks.

cheeellllll… dont even trip, it’s going to be an easy class. if anything it’s easier in the summer than in the fall.

^ lol but I don’t want to get rescinded…If I get a “C” I’ll get my admissions taken back :(

Dr. Li is a bit difficult to understand (heavy Chinese accent) and was not very good at explaining Chem 3AL material. I do not know how she will be for Chem 1A.

Thanks stly. Is she generally a hard grader though…are her exams difficult? Thanks.

Sorry, we had no exams for Chem 3AL. The grading for 3AL was determined by department I think.

I had Dr. Li (Yes, she would prefer to be called a Dr.) for Chem 3BL. She’s difficult to understand due to her accent, but she’s willing to explain things when the class expresses overwhelming confusion.

Her final lab exam was very easy. Then again, all ochem lab quizzes and exams are really easy.

Viernes’s 3BL exam was really easy too… I think lab exams are no indicator of lecture exams so don’t take the class too lightly.

I see, so lecture exams are much harder huh? :x Do you guys think I should take this couse even though I hve no prior chem experience?
