CHEM6A first quarter or second quarter?!

So being a human bio major in tmc, i got recommended to take CHEM6A, however seeing that it is currently waitlisted 20+ at the moment i'm unsure if i should just go along and wait-list in the class in hopes of having more sections possibly open up so that i can take the CHEM6A,B,C series all in one year rather than starting the series in winter quarter and having the series overlap into the summer or the following year? At the moment I have replaced the CHEM GE with HILD7A (humanities GE) but am wondering if i should chance wait-listing in CHEM6A instead so that i can complete the chem series in a more organized manner? :x ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HELPFUL THANKS :O

I’m not sure how crowded HILD7A is,but i would waitlist in chem and keep a close eye on HILD7A. I heard they were gonna open more spots for chem so you might get in. If you get no reply yet and HILD7A is almost full, you can switch over to it if you prefer.

ohh alrightt, thanks for the suggestion AndrewL!

UPDATE: Oh so currently my other three classes besides HILD7A are on wait-list so the system is sort of giving me trouble with dropping HILD7A and replacing it with CHEm6A wait-list. Am i not allowed to wait-list all 4 classes?

Spots may possibly open around September 5th when freshmen registration ends and open registration opens again for continuing students.

You’ll be receiving emails about new sections being opened so I would highly suggest paying attention to your UCSD email because it’s first come first serve regardless of where you are on a wait list.

@Schw1ng: thanks for the info! So in regards to my other question am i not allowed to be waitlisted for all four of my courses? Like i’m suppose to at least be enrolled in one class or they think i’m trying to withdraw from the school?
