CHEM6A or CHEM6AH? MATH20A or MATH20B?

I think I'll do MATH20B because derivatives are pretty easy.

Chem is my major. I plan on going to Dental School, so what would you guys suggest? I heard Honors is extremely hard. Who are some of the easier teachers for 6AH and normal 6A? Will Dental schools look down on me for taking normal chemistry?? But as long as I get a relaxed, cool, easy teacher, then I'm happy

yea, how many people usually get As in chem 6ah? same for math 20a and 20b, how many people get As?

twylabloo said usually around 150 students take chem honors, and that's out of what, 4000 incoming freshman? that's about the top 4%...

also, here is a link of sample exams of the different math classes: http://www.math.ucsd.edu/~mathclub/academic.php

they're tough...

Yeah I want an A. I mean a 4.0 GPA with regular chem sounds much better than a 3.3 honors chem to me. Anyway, thats not the point. I want to know which classes are easier to get an A in...which teachers?

check, ratemyprofessor.com

LOL i already did that. MAN WHY DO I HAVE TO TAKE PHYSICS FOR DENTISTRY UGH

My advice for chem? Take Hoeger--he comes off as mean in the beginning but is really smart and not that tough.

UCSD

Schedule:

General Chemistry 6A = Christina Johnson MWF 12:00p - 12:50

MATH 20B = Henning Hohnhold MWF 4:00p - 4:50
Discussion Th 4:00p - 4:50p

MMW1 = David K. Jordan MWF 2:00p - 2:50p

how do you have your schedule already?

That's completely wrong. The majority of incoming frosh don't have to take chemistry for their major. Even if 1000 of frosh have to take it, that's the top 15%. And i bet that number (1000) is a little high.

oh yeah... i was thinking in terms of revelle students only, since they have like five courses in the natural sciences that they have to take.

1000 frosh in 6A seems about right... Thats about how many seats are available, and they will definitely be filled...

You people DO realize that a 8AM class means waking up at 7, eating breakfast till like 730 and go to class? I DONT WANNA WAKE UP THAT EARLY JESUS CHRIST

Come on, it's not like you haven't done that for the last 12 years.

Yeah that's why I'm going to college...so I don't have to do these things. I want to sleep in!

^You could've stay home and did the same thing, FOR FREE :O!!!!

No that's dumb. You know what I mean, I don't wanna wake up at freakin 7!

take honors! especially if you plan on majoring in chem. it's really not that bad, as long as you study and make the effort to do well.

That's a 9AM class....plus what's the point?
