ChemE at UT vs. UIUC

Which school would I have better opportunities and a better time at if I did ChemE: UT or UIUC? (Cost is irrelevent)

I don’t think it really matters…you’re talking about the 5th ranked vs. 7th ranked undergraduate ChemE programs, which means there is very little to choose between the two ( [Chemical | Rankings | US News](http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/engineering-doctorate-chemical) ).

The only interesting difference between the two I can think of is that the UIUC ChemE department is in the School of Chemical Sciences, which is a part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, while the UT program is in the College of Engineering. This probably doesn’t matter that much, but the required courses for the majors may be different as a result (perhaps the UIUC program has more humanities requirements, etc.). You might want to look into this.
