ChemE+Biomedical engineering

I have a BS in ChemE and would like to enter the medical device industry. I wanted to actually go for an MS in EE but that requires substantial amount of pre-reqs before I can get into the Master's program so I looked over to biomedical engineering. Being a ChemE, I have taken general, organic, physical, and biochem courses. I did some research on cc and read many threads where posters were not to get a BS in biomedical engineering as there are not a lot of jobs out there and usually EE or MechE's get those jobs. I know that it's true as one of my friends could not find a job having a BS in BME. Would that be the case with my background and getting a master's in biomedical engineering? Or is a PhD required? Will this investment be worth it?

bump… Can anybody help?

Bs in BME doesn’t usually yield any job offers because the field as a whole wants to see at least those with an MS, therefore EE and ME BS grads wont have any better shot. You can definitely go into bme with a cheme degree.
