ChemE freshman needs help choosing classes

Can anybody provide some insight into which sememster of ChemE is considered the hardest? I am looking at the suggested arrangement of courses, and noticed that I am either taking or have AP credit for several courses listed for the first two semesters. So, I have a little bit of flexibility on when I need to take some of the courses that are listed in the third and fourth semester. I have heard that the organic chemistries 318M and 318N are difficult along with M427K and Transport Phenomena CHE 353. A lot of the titles of these courses look intimidating and I would like to try to spread the hard ones out so I'm not taking them all the same semester. Any input?

Organic chem is difficult because it requires a lot of memorization. It’s not very quantitative. So if you’ve got a math-intensive class, O-chem might provide a kind of mental balance to that. O-chem lab will be more time-consuming than its measly two credits would indicate, so be prepared for that. At least you’ll get to take it in the brand new Hackerman building.

O-Chem isn’t too difficult- just memorizing sort of like Biology. The OChem lab twenty times harder than the actual class…
