Good luck. ChemE is tough to get a good gpa in, which is a nice to have when applying to grad school.

Here would be my game plan;

Go to Rutgers

Look at the Industrial Engineering program, especially the Quality and Reliability "thrust".

Try and get internships or jobs at J&J and get into their "Leadership Development" program; something profs at Rutgers should be able to help with since they are local.

Get J&J to pay for your MBA, or go after 2-4 years of experience.

I'm a ChemE in the biopharma industry, and am currently getting my MBA. Hindsight is 20/20 and that is what I am looking at this with. I only picked Rutgers because of the connections it will likely have with J&J and Pfizer. Additionally I picked J&J because of their reputation size and good leadership development program. I picked Industrial Engineering because the skills learned there will be more applicable to managing, and I picked the quality systems emphasis because this is very critical in the pharma industry is something that is difficult to maintain.
