Opinions on any of the programs would be great! We are going back to visit all three but time is ticking away! We realize how different all the schools are. Also money about the same everywhere. Thanks!

All three have excellent Chem Engineering Programs as I am sure you are aware of already. You can get an excellent education at any of them if you apply yourself. IMO if your S/D does well enough to obtain an Honors Degree In Chem Engineering from UD it might place your S/D in a slightly more competitive position if he/she plans on applying to Grad Schools for Chem Engineering in the future, especially if he/she would be considering UD for a Grad Degree (UD’s Chem Engineering Program is ranked 10th in the nation-above all Ivy League Schools except Princeton).

With this being said it probably would be best that when your S/D visits the schools that he/she try to develop a sense of where he/she best “fits in”, not just in the major area but also in regards to the school overall. Of course this is certainly subjective in nature but can be a good place to start (with other factors being essentially equal). One factor that led my D to choose UD (for Nursing) over many of the other schools she was considering was that the students at UD appeared friendly and interactive, seemed happy to be at the School, were very serious about their studies (but also were interested in social interactions), and seemed to exhibit a sense of goal attainment and self confidence (not snobbery) that she did not sense to the same degree (in combination) at the other Schools. This initial impression served my D well and she really enjoyed her overall experience at UD.

Best wishes to your S/D in making their decision.

Pamom,
While I must admit I know nothing about the Chem. Eng. programs at any of the schools, I would like to offer a hearty congrats on the Lehigh admit. It is a great school. I know a few who go there, and they love it. Great academics, wonderful greek/social life, and a fine reputation.
Personally, I think it is a two horse race between Udel, and Lehigh. But my opinion is worthless…
Best of Luck as you go thru the process…You should be a proud parent…
