would it be a good idea to do chemical engineering and be a premed?
thanks

chemical engineering is tough as it is…but being pre-med while engineering could be a safe choice in terms of career earnings :)

I am actually considering doing the same thing, but just be aware that you will have no social life at cornell.lol.

dont do it, or at least dont do it at cornell. You aren’t paying 50k/year learn chemical engineering/premed you are paying 50k/year to be surrounded by the best brightest and most motivated students, to have the best opportunities outside the classroom, to do ground breaking research, to lead your peers. You cant experience any of that stuff if you are in you room studying for classes ALL day. If you are set on this route though, at least go to a less expensive school, engineering and premed are pretty much the same wherever you go.

a good compromise could be to take as many pre-med courses as you can with your chemical engineering major but then take what you cant during the summer (srs)

thanks, anyone else?

would biopsychology and premed be easier to pull off since biopsychology contains many premed courses?

any major in CALS or CAS will be fine. You really can’t do anything engineering/premed unless you want to spend 5 years here.
