Could anyone share their thoughts on WUSTL's chemical engineering? How rigorous is the program? What kind of research opportunities do undergrads get? What grad schools students get into? I want to work in nanotechnology. How good is the nanoscale science and engineering minor? Would also appreciate if the questions are answered for mechanical engineering. Thank you.

Any comments?

Anyone?

I’m a current Wash U senior in engineering. I don’t know any specifics about the chemical engineering or program or the nano technology minor, but I can tell you ChemE is probably the hardest undergrad engineering major. You are taking chem classes with all of the premed students and have just about the least flexible schedule of all the engineers. I think MechE is a little bit more flexible and less challenging. The Wash U engineering program isn’t that highly rated, compared to the school as a whole, but the students are some of the smartest in the country so I don’t think you will be too limited in after graduation options.

Thank you, @Puma99 !! I have already applied ED to Wash U. Let’s just see how things turn out.
