Chemical Engineering: Job Prospects with a degree from KU?

Hi,

I have heard a lot about how engineering at KU is good, especially chem engineers, so I wanted some more information.

I want to continue my master's with a biomedical engr degree. As such, I want a job that takes a bachelor's degree as a chemical engineer.

How good are my job prospects of getting a job as a chemical engineer if I do my ChemEng BS at KU?

Secondly, how helpful are the resources that they provide you, like the career center?

I'd really like answers to these, because it might decide my future. Please respond! Thanks in advance!

Job prospects are good, I think, especially with the career center’s help. They’ll help you find internships, job shadowing opportunities, leadership opportunities, and the professors are great at helping you find research if you’re interested in that. I definitely think the engineering career center is helpful (compared to the university career center) because they have much more specific knowledge to engineering than the university career center, as well as free resume paper for students and they’re really easy to make an appointment with to get a chance to look over your resume. I know recent graduates who are making near-six-figure salaries in Texas for Exxon and similar companies, if that’s what you’re worried about. (p.s. i’m not an engineering student, but i hang out with a bunch, and my bf is in chem.e., so that’s what i consider my expertise)
