chemical engineering schedule help please

Hi, I really need some help with my schedule

I'm Pre-dental and I'm trying to figure this all out.
I've got AP credits in English which would pass me out of all required English but it's required to be taken in college for dental since some don't accept AP.

So far..this is all I have for my schedule and my CalSo is in a few days.

Chem 4A ---4 units
Chemical Eng. C96 Seminar ---1 Unit
Another Random Seminar ---2 Units
Math 1A---4 units

That gives me 11
I'd like to have 16

Should I take American Cultures now? I really don't like the classes they're offering right now...is there more of a variety in the spring?

I really would like to take Bio 1B but all it's discussions are full! I really want some sort of biology class though.

I could take another random science course to work towards the open elective program but what if I want to declare a concentration later?

Please ANY suggestions would help.

o.O I thought the College of Chemistry only had two CalSO sessions, both of which have passed...

You should not take courses "just to get my requirements out of the way now". Take classes that interest you.

Or, better yet, take an AC class that interests you. AC classes tend to be easy and interesting, a good combo for your first semester.

You can take AC whenever you want - if you don't like the classes now, you can certainly wait...

I was gonna take 17 units...which woulda included my AC but i think im gonna go 13 units for my first semester..then do my ac in the summer after 1st year.

yeah I've decided to take
Integrative Bio 35AC

There's a suggested schedule for ChemE students in the CoC announcement: http://chemistry.berkeley.edu/ugrad_info/publications/chem_08_09.pdf page 15 or 17. For frosh fall, R1A is suggested.

Yeah but if you got a 4 or 5 on either AP English test, you're exempt.
