I was accepted for chemical engineering at GTech.

How hard is this program? I find it interesting but I am comparing it to a mathematical economics major at Tulane.

Any help with this thanks

I am not a ChBE, but two of my closest friends either are or were ChBEs.

I think the difficulty of the ChBE major depends partly on your intelligence and work ethic. Friend A is smart but also regularly studied for his classes. After two and a half years, he has only made one B, which was not in a ChBE class. Friend B, on the other hand, is perhaps the smartest person I have ever met to date. He basically played World of Warcraft all day long but still consistently earned a 3.8 GPA every semester for the three semesters he was a ChBE. Both of them came in with a year’s worth of AP credits, so they started pretty early with their major classes. Friend B later transferred to EE, though.

Of course, I recognize that my friends may not be representative of all ChBE majors or even most. If you’re not as smart as my Friend B, you’ll probably have to study quite a bit to earn a GPA you want. You won’t have to study all day every day, but you will have to put in the hours to earn the grades.
