I aspire to go to an Ivy League or a top ranking school. I know that one thing schools like to see is that you have taken the hardest courses you can. In my school, chemistry 2 is considered slightly lower than AP chemistry. Heres the issue: I really like my honors chemistry teacher this year and I think she really understands me and has a fantastic teaching style. However, she only teaches chemistry 2 and not ap chemistry. Do I go with chem 2 or ap chem?
If you want to go to a top school and you want to be a bio chem surgeon, then I would take AP Chemistry.
However, how realistic is an ivy league for you? Is it affordable? What are your SAT scores? GPA?
Also if you want to go to med school (guessing from your user name), would taking Chem 2 in HS and then taking CHem 101 in college be a good way to go?
AP chem if you are gunning to be a STEM major at a competitive school.
